Pete Weber
Pete Weber, son of bowling legend Dick Weber, won 37 career PBA Tour titles and became one of the sport's most recognizable and polarizing personalities, known for flamboyant, sometimes controversial on-lane celebrations that drew both criticism and a devoted fan following distinct from the sport's more traditionally reserved competitive culture. His 2012 US Open victory celebration, in which he pointed at the camera and declared "Who do you think you are? I am!" while gesturing toward his own crotch, became one of the most widely circulated and referenced moments in modern bowling broadcast history, reflecting Weber's willingness to bring outsized personality to a sport not traditionally known for it. Weber won major PBA championships across four different decades, a level of career longevity at the tour's highest level that few bowlers have matched, and his combination of genuine technical skill with his outsized public persona made him one of the sport's most consistently discussed figures throughout his career. As the son of one of bowling's original television-era stars, Weber's own career success gave the sport a rare father-son legacy of sustained excellence, and his combined title total and multi-decade championship span place him firmly among the greatest bowlers in PBA Tour history.
VS
Kelly Kulick
Kelly Kulick became the first woman in history to win a PBA Tour title against a field of male competitors, claiming the 2010 PBA Tournament of Champions, a milestone widely regarded as one of the most significant breakthroughs for gender inclusion in professional bowling's history. Her victory came after Kulick had already established herself as one of the most dominant competitors on the separate women's professional bowling tour, and her decision to also compete directly against the men's tour's top players reflected a level of competitive ambition that few female bowlers had previously pursued at that level. Kulick's win prompted extensive media coverage well beyond bowling's usual audience, drawing comparisons to other historic moments of gender-barrier-breaking success in traditionally male-dominated professional sports, and her victory remains a frequently cited reference point in broader conversations about gender inclusion in professional bowling. Her combined success across both the women's tour and her historic co-ed PBA Tour title has made Kulick one of the most significant figures in the sport's modern history, and her 2010 breakthrough remains one of the most talked-about individual achievements in professional bowling of the past two decades.
