Vicki Wilson
Vicki Wilson is the only Australian netballer to have played in four World Championships, winning three of them — 1991, 1995, and 1999 — and later called Australia's 1991 home-soil title in Sydney the most memorable moment of her career. She retired in 1999 with a then-record 104 international caps for Australia and was widely regarded as the best goal shooter in the world at the time she stepped away from the national team, having become team captain in 1996 after recovering from knee surgery following the 1995 World Championships. Wilson's final Australian appearance came as captain in the gold-medal match of the 1999 World Cup, giving her the rare distinction of closing out her international career with a championship win in the role she'd held for three years. Catherine Cox played 108 tests for Australia between 1997 and 2013, becoming just the fourth Australian to reach 100 caps after fellow greats Vicki Wilson, Sharelle McMahon, and Liz Ellis, and she shot more than 2,000 goals for the Diamonds at an average of over 21 goals per test appearance. She won World Cup gold with Australia in both 2007 and 2011, adding a silver medal from the 2003 World Netball Championships, a 16-year international career spanning three different tournament victories at the sport's highest level.
